Last week I went fabric shopping to make something fun for my daughter for Christmas!
I was almost too late!
The Christmas fabric was seriously picked over,
but I found this fun peppermint print!
I know you saw it already on the HO HO Hotpads,
but here's another fun idea!
Cut a 1" strip of your fabric about 2 yards long.
Grab a piece of felt big enough for your LA LA Lollipop!
It doesn't have to match, but because I'm so OCD, mine does. :)
Fold your fabric strip in half and begin sewing it down in the middle of your felt square.
Keep folding and twisting your fabric strip and stitching it down, round and round!
Bigger and Bigger!!
Tuck the end and sew it down to make your circle pretty.
Don't worry if your felt is a little puckery, like mine. :)
Trim your felt just under your LA LA Lollipop!
Iron a piece of interfacing on the underside of your shirt as big as your design.
Pin yourLA LA Lollipop and ric-rac handle to the front of your shirt, over the interfacing,
Sew the ric-rac down first and then stitch your LA LA lollipop onto your shirt in circles.
Backside: Not perfect, and it doesn't matter!
Make a small bow and stitch it on by hand or machine.
LA LA Lollipop!!
I'm a little in love with her and her outfit. :)
You know we had to twirl!
I love that she can wear it with jeans too or her black shirt,
and not even just for Christmas!
Sweet!
XOXO
