Bye-bye Blog...
Sometimes you realize that even though something brings you a measure of joy, it is bringing you more stress and worry.
Blogging has been a great adventure for me!
I have met so many wonderful people and had so many amazing opportunities!
It has also taken time away from more worthwhile causes.
I want my precious time to be spent dedicated to joy!
The joy of myself, my family, my friends and neighbors.
I want to create for the joy and not worry about taking the perfect picture,
how many pageviews it will receive, and how many parties I can link up to!
I don't want to stay up late finishing projects that are due on the blog.
I want to spend more time enjoying all the wonderful things and people in my life!
I don't want to spend time worrying about why people don't like my projects or pictures
on my blog, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
I want to share for the joy of sharing the joy I feel in my life!
Thank you to all the people who have supported me in my blogging journey!
What an adventure it has been!
XOXO
Jaime
Sad! But I TOTALLY understand! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteYou are so stinkin' talented, and so strong to do this! I admire you! But don't be a stranger, you hear! {{HUGS}}
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! We were just talking this week about this...I had no idea but definitely understand and am excited that you know what you want and where your priorities should be for your family and life. Hope you are doing awesome!
ReplyDeleteSorry to see you leave, but I understand! Maybe you'll still post a little about your joyfilled life?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you ever did it! It looks like so much work! I support the appreciation of the world venture.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness Jaime!! It's so hard to choose between good and best! I'll miss you around the web - but I completely understand how you're feeling. I'm so thankful that we're friends and that I still get to hang out in person with you!! Love you dear!!
ReplyDeleteSo recognizable!
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best.
I totally understand how time consuming and stressful being a craft blogger can be. We'll miss your blog, but go enjoy your family and friends! :-)

I haven't been following along for too long, but certainly wish you well in your life endeavors!!! Take care!
ReplyDeleteYou will be missed, but I totally understand how you feel! Blogging is quite stressful at times! Wish you all the best and happy times to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteOnce enjoyed your blog-enjoy your new focus! I totally know what you mean about obsessing more over the"reaction" to something you've made than actually making it. How to still see you around on IG :)
ReplyDeleteYou will be missed Jamie, but I totally understand your reasoning. Wishing you all the best!
ReplyDeleteOh, Jaime, sorry you won't be blogging any longer. I totally get your reasons and also feel the tug of time away from what is most important. Maybe you might post just when you feel like it and just for yourself. No thoughts about those other distractions. It is your blog so just do what pleases you.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes as you move forward :)
Kindly, Lorraine
Best of luck to you, Jaime! You will be missed, but I am always impressed when bloggers turn away from it, too. You are strong to move on- I hope the joy you are looking forward to finds you and then some! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the parties you've hosted! Enjoy your free time with your family and friends!
ReplyDeleteWe'll miss you and your blog, but completely understand! You have your priorities right and that's what's important! :)

Will miss you,Jamie, but understand your decision. I've only been on this blogging journey for 5 months and wonder about the same factors you listed. Wish you all the best.
ReplyDeleteDear Jaime:
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the pleasure of being allowed to showcase my own work on your blog parties for the last year. Even though I will miss your inspiration, I totally understand and support your decision to take a break and walk away. I hope it is only a break, and that you'll be back again someday. Take good care, and God bless you and your family.
Sincerely,
Ann @ Suburban Prairie Homemaker
Hi Jaime,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to see you go.
Good for you!!! We recently got rid of our Blackberries and just have normal phones again...minus the big data plan cost.
ReplyDeleteI believe that you should blog what makes you happy and at your schedule if you so choose.
Do what makes you happy. We will miss you!!
So, I will leave you with these sentiments....
Happy Halloween, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :-D
We will miss you! Good luck in your new adventures!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for doing what is right for you!
