Review: Disney Junior Live on Tour! Pirate & Princess Adventure

I took my kids to see Disney Junior Live on Tour! Pirate & Princess Adventure
at the Long Beach Terrace Theater this past weekend.

My kids love Disney Junior shows, and were excited to see some of their favorite characters!
Before the show started, we were treated to a little performance from Doc McStuffins!

Mickey and Minnie appeared and sang all about pirates and princesses
and then we were off to Royal Prep with Sofia and her friends!
After a bit of a magical mishap, Sofia discovers important things about true friendship!

There was a lengthy intermission, just right to take little ones out to stretch their busy legs
and take a potty break before Jake and the Neverland Pirates!
Captain Hook was up to his usual tricks, and Jake showed him what a true friend is!

Your kids will love this show!
It was interactive, and had everyone on their feet and singing along!

The next shows are coming this weekend to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood!

Disney Junior Live On Tour: Pirate & Princess Adventure!

Do your kids love Disney Junior??
My kids do! And they're going to be so excited for Disney Junior Live!

In this original storyline, Mickey and Minnie lead the audience on an exciting adventure that will have families rooting for
their favorite pirate Jake and Disney's first little girl princess Sofia. Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate and Princess
Adventure begins with a special interactive pre-show featuring the loveable 6-year-old doctor to toys and stuffed animals,
Doc McStuffins. Children and their parents will sing “The Check-Up Song” along with Doc as she provides tender love
and care.

Audiences will then embark on a journey to the magical world of Enchancia, where Sofia, her step-siblings Amber and
James, and the entire kingdom are preparing for the annual friendship festival. Sofia has the honor of delivering the
perfect gift to her royal subjects at the celebration, and the one-and-only Cinderella visits the castle to help Sofia in her
mission to find just the right present.

The excitement continues when families cast away to Never Land where Jake and his Yo Ho pirate friends Izzy and
Cubby are in a race against time to locate a mysterious treasure-filled volcano. Danger, thrills and adventure lurk around
every turn when our swashbuckling friends battle Captain Hook for the ultimate prize. Peter Pan makes a special
appearance, aiding the team in their heroic quest, and with the help of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust, Jake and his crew fly
above the stage in their journey.

Disney Junior Live is touring all over the United States and will be in Southern California soon!

Disney Social Media Moms Celebration on the Road in Berkeley!

Last month I had the incredible opportunity to go on an adventure!!
I have always wanted to be a Disney blogger and attend one of their conferences,
and thanks to Disney Social Media Moms Celebration on the Road
I was able to fulfill my dream!

I traveled to the Berkeley to the beautiful Claremont Hotel
where the conference was hosted.

I was blessed to be able to travel with another sweet blogger,
Mayra Rodriguez of Estilo Familiar!

From the moment I entered the conference room I was surrounded by Disney magic!
Mickey balloon bouquets, Disney music playing, and Mickey treats at our table!

We had a lovely little breakfast to get us going for the day!

Our conference started with an intro by Maria Bailey of  Mom Talk Radio!
She inspired us to be strong and successful role models for our children.

Our keynote speaker was Mindee Doney, founder of Boogie Wipes!
I was excited to hear from her, as I LOVE her product!
She shared her journey of ups and downs and what she learned.
She encouraged us to EMBRACE, EMPOWER, EXPECT!
She said, "When we choose daily to embrace life and empower potential,
we can easily expect our journey to be happily ever after."

Between speakers there were fabulous giveaways!
I won an awesome Brave gift pack which I was so excited to give my daughter!

Next up was a panel of mompreneurs who shared how they developed their products
and the ins and outs of getting them on the market.
We heard from:
Erin Kelly - Hulabye
Alma Moussa - Babee Covee
Romy Taormina - Psi Bands

Our final speaker was Michelle Stepney, Disney PR content director
and writer for Disney Parks Blog!
If you're not following the blog, you should for great updates
and tips on the Disney Parks!

Before we boarded the plane home, we had to make a quick stop at Fenton's Creamery,
an old-fashioned homemade ice cream shop that was featured in the movie UP!

I had the most fantastic time learning, networking, and being uplifted
at the Disney Social Media Moms Conference!
Thank you to all those who put so much work into making it happen!

Monsters University!

This week we got to preview the new Disney Pixar film, Monsters University!
We LOVED it!!
If you loved Monsters, Inc., then you will love this movie too!

Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer.  The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”), produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”) and features music from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and award-winning composer Randy Newman  (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 3”).

I loved how they tied the movie together with characters
we loved from Monsters Inc. plus some fun new monsters!

Monsters University is sure to be another classic from Disney Pixar
that you and your family will want to see again and again.

Monsters University opens next Friday, June 21!
Tickets are on sale now and will be shown in 3D in select theaters!

Please enjoy these fun games and activities from Monsters U!

Disneyland Magical Meetup: Mickey and the Magical Map!

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to attend an exclusive Magical Meetup at Disneyland!
I went with Jamie Gall and we were so excited!!
We were led through the park to the Fantasyland Theatre where we got to see the new show, Mickey and the Magical Map!

The show is like an extension of The Sorcerer's Apprentice,
where Mickey gets to act out his imagination and make the story come to life!

From start to finish, Mickey and the Magical Map is filled with familiar Disney stories
of courage, fun and imagination and all the great music that goes along with them!

And what's a great show without popcorn?
Thanks Mickey!!

The finale was beautiful, just like the rest of the show and I can't wait to see the whole thing again!

After the show we received a special Mickey and the Magical Map luggage tag
wrapped up with a Mickey rice krispy treat! YUM!!
I can't wait to use my luggage tag for my upcoming trip
to the Disney Social Media Moms Conference!

We were so lucky to get to stay in the park after the show and make some beautiful memories!

Disneyland fireworks will always be one of my most favorite things!

Thank you Disneyland for this Magical Meetup!
and I can't wait to bring my family to see the show!

Disclosure: I received a ticket to Disneyland to preview the show,
but no monetary compensation. All opinions are my own!

Disney's Planes Sneak Peek!

We are so excited about the new Disney film Planes!
Enjoy this sneak peek!

From above the world of “Cars” comes “Disney’s Planes,”
an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook),
a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer.
But Dusty’s not exactly built for racing—and he happens to be afraid of heights.
So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit.
Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible,
giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar.
“Disney’s Planes” takes off in theaters on Aug. 9, 2013.

Fantasy Faire at Disneyland!

This week I had a dream come true...

I got to go to the media preview of the new Fantasy Faire at Disneyland!

It was so fun to be there with other great mommy bloggers and social media specialists,

The new Royal Theatre hosts two fun stage shows.
First up was Beauty and the Beast.
So fun!! And so great how it will appeal to boys and girls!

After the show we stopped for a snack at Maurice's Treats!
They have yummy twists, savory and sweet!
My favorite was the Boysen Apple Freeze with Passionfruit Foam!
So yummy and sweet, I can still taste it!

The new princess meet and greet in the Royal Hall is so magical.
The princesses are all so sweet and really take time to talk to the children.
I loved all the royal carpets and chandeliers!

In the middle of Fantasy Faire is Rapunzel's Tower.
She sits at the top and her hair winds round and round.
I can't wait to see it light up at night and sing!

The second show in the Royal Theatre is Tangled.
This was my favorite!
We were laughing so hard at all the puns and shenanigans!

The shows are made even more special with the accompaniment of a live pianist!
He was fabulous and really added to the quality of the show.

Fantasy Faire is located just to the left of the castle
and opens on March 12th!
Don't miss it!

*I was provided entrance and treats in exchange for my review.
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!!
