Knott's Summer Family Fun!

Temperatures in Southern California have begun to heat up and we are loving summer!
Knott's Berry Farm is a great place to enjoy all summer has to offer with your family!

Recently we were invited as a family to experience Knott's new Boardwalk,
an area that has summer written all over it!

My kids have declared that the Boardwalk is their favorite,
with 3 new rides the whole family can enjoy!

My son loves roller coasters, and the Coast Rider is a smooth family-friendly thrill!

My daughter's favorite is the Surfside Gliders!
You should hear her squeal in delight all through the ride!

But our favorite ride to experience as a family is the Timber Mountain Log Ride!
With all the fun characters and scenes inside and just enough splash to be refreshing,
the Log Ride is perfect for the whole family!

Knott's also has plenty of summer entertainment lined up all over the park!

Making its summer debut over at the Charles Schulz Theatre is  “Snoopy…..Unleashed!”
Snoopy is off the chain and ready for action – going where he wants to go,
doing what he wants to do in a way that only Snoopy can.
This spectacular ice skating production includes the Peanuts characters,
professional ice skaters, elaborate sets and music that will have you singing along.

Also new this summer is “Boom Town” where the Wild West, at the peak of the Gold Rush,
becomes a Cirque performance that really strikes it rich.
A cast of nine amazing acrobats brings to life what it was like to live
in the small town of Calico in the 1860s.
You’ll be inspired to pick up your picks and pans and hop in an ore cart
and come along for the ride!

“Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular” returns for its fourth season
and is bigger and brighter than ever.
When darkness falls over Knott’s Berry Farm,
Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular brings Camp Snoopy to life with a continuous light show
filled with PEANUTS’ figures, themed music, sound effects, and colorful projections.
In “Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular” guests will see their favorite characters
in scenes that personify them – Lucy’s dream of being a Hollywood starlet,
Schroeder’s musical genius, even Woodstock gets into the act
as he and Snoopy go on a camping adventure.

For the younger set, “Hooray for Hollywood” tells the story of the PEANUTS® Gang
as they try to make it big in Tinseltown.
Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, and their friend JT pay homage
to the golden days of Hollywood in a show that’s sure to delight kids of all ages.

Back by popular demand are the Citizens of Ghost Town.
Sherriff Jebedeiah Smith, Beau Regard the Saloon owner,
the delightful Sweet Adeline and others will again be roaming the streets of Ghost Town
to make guests feel as if they have stepped back in time to the 1890’s.

Live musical entertainment will be farm-wide from morning till night
with performances by Jumpin’ to the Beat which combines jump roping gymnastics
with a heavy drum beat, and the ever popular Big Fat Steve Band on the Boardwalk Midway.
To entertain guests while they dine al fresco the interactive country, blue grass quartet,
the Ghost Town Miners, will be returning to Spurs Restaurant.

Just across the street from Knott’s Berry Farm
Knott’s Soak City is ready for another fun-filled season starting Memorial Day weekend.
Cool off in Tidal Wave Bay or take a ride through Pacific Spin’s 132-foot long tunnel.

During summer and seasonal periods, Knott's is open late nightly.
Check out Knotts.com for more info on ticket pricing and events!

Thanks Knott's for a memory-filled day with my family!

Disclosure: I was provided with tickets to Knott's Berry Farm in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.

Pinwheels & Ponies Party!

Last week my baby girl turned 5!!
I was so distraught that I had to throw her a big 'ol party!
My daughter requested a pony party, so fun!

I searched high and low for the perfect party outfit, and I fell in love!
This beautiful dress is from Ourfox and it is my favorite!!

I decided it would be fun to have red, white and blue
and pinwheels to go along with my current obsession!
We decorated the greenbelt with pom poms, pinwheels,
and balloons in red, white and blue!

I set up a station for all the little cowgirls and cowboys
to drop off their gift and pick up a hat from Oriental Trading!
This adorable stand was created by the super talented

I contacted Happy Hooves and they brought 2 of the sweetest ponies!
The owner and her assistant were great with the kids and led them round and round.
Kelsey declared this was her favorite part!

Our little guests were all so excited for a ride on the ponies!
They lined up to ride over and over again!

Of course any party is all about the food,
and I had fun thinking up favorite treats
in red, white and blue!

The Lofthouse cookies and donuts were a big hit, and I didn't have to make them!
The layered rice krispy treats were totally easy, and always popular!

My husband cut the watermelon and put a few stars on top for fun!
The strawberry & blueberry cups were popular
and we liked them with a little whipped cream on top!
There was water and strawberry soda on ice for the little parched pony riders!

After the ponies went home, we played pin the tail on the pony!
I made this cute poster with clip art from Print Candee and printed it at Costco!
Most of the tails were placed on the pony's rump, but a few ended up on the outsides!
The kids thought it was hilarious to see where the next one would go!

While the kids were busy with their game, I got the cupcakes ready!
I ordered these adorable red, white and blue layered cupcakes from Cupcake Friday!
The darling pinwheels on top were made to match perfectly by Earth Cookie Creations!

We all sang happy birthday and cheered as she blew out 5 candles!

As all our little party guests went home, I sent them with a fun bundle...
a pinwheel, glow in the dark bracelets, and popcorn!

We had a blast celebrating our little girl's birthday!
Thanks to all the wonderful folks that made it so special!

Disney Social Media Moms Celebration on the Road in Berkeley!

Last month I had the incredible opportunity to go on an adventure!!
I have always wanted to be a Disney blogger and attend one of their conferences,
and thanks to Disney Social Media Moms Celebration on the Road
I was able to fulfill my dream!

I traveled to the Berkeley to the beautiful Claremont Hotel
where the conference was hosted.

I was blessed to be able to travel with another sweet blogger,
Mayra Rodriguez of Estilo Familiar!

From the moment I entered the conference room I was surrounded by Disney magic!
Mickey balloon bouquets, Disney music playing, and Mickey treats at our table!

We had a lovely little breakfast to get us going for the day!

Our conference started with an intro by Maria Bailey of  Mom Talk Radio!
She inspired us to be strong and successful role models for our children.

Our keynote speaker was Mindee Doney, founder of Boogie Wipes!
I was excited to hear from her, as I LOVE her product!
She shared her journey of ups and downs and what she learned.
She encouraged us to EMBRACE, EMPOWER, EXPECT!
She said, "When we choose daily to embrace life and empower potential,
we can easily expect our journey to be happily ever after."

Between speakers there were fabulous giveaways!
I won an awesome Brave gift pack which I was so excited to give my daughter!

Next up was a panel of mompreneurs who shared how they developed their products
and the ins and outs of getting them on the market.
We heard from:
Erin Kelly - Hulabye
Alma Moussa - Babee Covee
Romy Taormina - Psi Bands

Our final speaker was Michelle Stepney, Disney PR content director
and writer for Disney Parks Blog!
If you're not following the blog, you should for great updates
and tips on the Disney Parks!

Before we boarded the plane home, we had to make a quick stop at Fenton's Creamery,
an old-fashioned homemade ice cream shop that was featured in the movie UP!

I had the most fantastic time learning, networking, and being uplifted
at the Disney Social Media Moms Conference!
Thank you to all those who put so much work into making it happen!
