Gobble Gobble Girl!

One last Thanksgiving craft, and it's a cute one!!

We had a date with a turkey, so we got dressed up to meet him!

First I traced the cutest little hand in town.

Iron your fabric and interfacing together and cut out your handprint.

Iron another piece of interfacing to the inside of the front of your shirt.

Pin your hand in place on the shirt and sew your ric-rac legs in place.

Make a little turkey wattle out of your ric-rac.

Applique your handprint on the shirt with a zig-zag stitch, placing the wattle under his chin.

Usually I like to use a thread that matches my fabric, but I was out of brown and this rainbow was so fun!!

So fast, and so fun!

She had a ball visiting the animals, and the mommies there loved her turkey shirt!

Happy Turkey Day!!

What a great idea to preserve her handprints too! I love the rainbow thread you used. I've never sewn with that!

Very cute! I don't think my sewing skills are good enough to trace a hand yet, but it's a super-cute idea!
